You've got red on you.

This is what I've been working on lately. It's for a personal swap. I was asked if I could make Shaun from Shaun of the Dead. I was so excited to! Between making a very clean cut one and a very bloody one, the bloody one won. :)

His goatee and his blood are painted on. His headband is the only thing made from fabric.
And, his pants are elastic waistband, so they're removable! Underneath, are his undies! haha. I think he totally seems like a tighty whitey kind of guy, so that's what he's wearing.

That's all for now, because it's really late and it's definitely about my bedtime. I hope everyone's having a great weekend! Tuesday is Bob Dylan! I can't wait!

More mail!!

I just had to jump on here really quick to show my epic mail day, yet again. I promise I will be back later this week to show more work. I'm currently working on a personal swap and I'm making Shaun, from Shaun of the Dead. It might be one of my most detailed ami's to date, but he's been so much fun to work on, and so cute so far!!

So, epic package #1. I was recently in the Tim Burton swap. I received my package today, and I was not disappointed! I haven't found a place for everything just yet, but I will!

Here's everything all together.

I got some Wonka candy as some extras, a Tim Burton locket, hair clips with Edward Scissorhands and Johnny Depp and Tim Burton, and some earrings, a happy/mad Jack plush, and the most epic thing I think I've ever received from a swap before, a Sweeney Todd needlepunch. This thing is HUGE. The frame is 14 inches, and I'm showing it with my hand for a size comparison. I really love this thing so much!

And next, I got a couple packages from Alexz. I can't post pictures of one of the things, because it's a gift for someone, but I can post all of the other wonderful stuff!!
First, a Bob Dylan plush! I love him so much, and he's been sitting in my lap all day!

And, a Cthulhu plush! This guy is tiny too, he's so cute!!

A mad hatter plush based off of the new Alice in Wonderland!! He's also tiny, and came with his own little chair. He's already made a nice home on top of my desk. :)

I've told Alexz that she needs to get a better camera or something, because whenever she posts photos they all look amazing, but when you see them in person, they're so much better!
This is a metal hanging, and it's already hanging in my kitchen with some pictures on it. So cute!

A chalk board!! This is also already hanging up. lol

ANNNDDD....last, but CERTAINLY not least, a whole little kitchen set of Halloween!!

So, all in all, it was a wonderful day really. Getting mail is so much fun, and that poor postman has to put up with me all the time. lol.
I will hopefully be back very soon with some of my completed work. I'm very excited to show it all off!
I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Wow!

I have been working like CRAZY lately! I'm still really busy, so this will be a short post. :)

First, there are 2 new heads up in the shop, brown Jackalopes! I'm still working on another head right now that has full potential to be amazing, but until then, you can check these out. I think I might like them better than the white ones!

And I've been working on this. It's actually about 18 inches tall. It's for a 2-year-olds room. I don't know about you, but I think this would be great in a little boys room! I hope little Collin loves it!! I was a little iffy as I was making it, it's all my own pattern, but I do that a lot when I make stuff, and then when it's done, I love it. lol. I'm going to be sending this out today hopefully.

And now I have to get back to work. I'm going to be busy for about the next 2 weeks, and I just came across a new project that I have to make really quickly today. Hope everyone's having a good week so far!

Check it out!

There's an awesome blog that I follow called The Dainty Squid. You should definitely check it out. However, she's doing a giveaway right now! You can win some stuff from an awesome store called Arks Endeavors. So go check it out!

Little Miss Stubborn

I want to start out this post by mentioning a few things.
First, there's a really fun new blog out that I was featured in! It's a really cute blog, and I've been following it ever since they emailed me. It's really cute, and you should check it out! It's called Ionlylikemonsters. :)

Next up is this AMAZING store I found on Etsy. I follow a blog called The Dainty Squid. Every once in a while, someone will contact her and ask her to review their products for them. I was reading her blog one day on an Etsy store called Funk Off Brand. I have issues finding good lotions and stuff, so I thought why not give it a try. Oh. My. God. Not only are they the nicest people ever, but their products are AMAZING. I got a lotion, soap, and I went back to order lip balms. Just a warning, if you get any of the lotions, the scent will literally last ALL DAY! It's awesome. And the soap has exfoliating beads in it. And I don't use soap, I always use body wash, but their soap is just awesome. I live in such a dry state, so it's wonderful to find some new products every once in a while. I highly suggest you check out Funk Off Brand next time you need lotion, body spray, lip balm or soap. :) Personally, my favorite scents are Vanilla Sandalwood Nag Champa and Cool Mountain Moss. Check 'em out!

And, onto my projects!!
My niece's 10th birthday is coming up! I asked my mother-in-law about some things that she likes, and she said that one of her favorite books was Little Miss Stubborn. I've been thinking for a while about how I can make the Mr. Men, and I'm glad I finally got the opportunity!
This picture was my inspiration.

Look at the little Mary Janes!!

This is the top of her head, just to show the little bit of hair she has.
She was a lot of fun to make. I hope she likes her too!
I've got to run, I have projects planned today too!! :)

Lots of stuff coming up!

I'm preparing myself for a lot of stuff coming up soon. This week I have a huge goal of 2 big projects to make. I'm really hoping I can finish them and send them off.
In addition to that, I just made another thing that I can't mention for certain reasons, and I sent it off today to go to his new home. I'm hoping to post pictures of that very soon.
Plans for this week include making a Little Miss Stubborn for my niece for her 10th birthday! And, making a giant rocket ship for my nephew's bedroom. My goal this week to finish both of those and to really focus.

However, this is what I can post. haha. Tonight Meat Loaf is performing in Snoqualmie, Washington, and Alexz is there, along with this little guy. In return, you should check this out! She made me an AMAZING Bob Dylan in return, and I can't wait to get him and squeeze him!!
But anyway, here is Meat Loaf. :)

I'm also going to work on getting some new things up in the shop this week. I made 2 new Jackalopes, they're brown instead of white. I had a request for those a long time ago from my father-in-law, so I'm glad to finally have those done. :)
ANNNNNNND-my big news.....I GOT MY DREAM GLUE GUN TODAY!! My Michael's was having a 4 hour sale where it was 25% off of your entire purchase, and I had a coupon for 40% off of any regular price item. I'm SOOOOO excited about it. Yes, I'm that big of a nerd. lol.
And I was wondering, does anyone out there have any advice on international shipping? To be honest, I've never done it before, and I'm not sure how to go about it, and how cheap you can really go. I got a convo the other day on Etsy from a girl wanting to know if I ship to Australia. I can, I just wish I could find a better price than $10. :( Any advice will help me tons!! Thanks!!

New Stuff!

I've been doing a lot lately. I've been working on things for the shop, and things for swaps. It's been quite hectic!

There's a few new items up in the shop. I'm now offering the Kirk and Spock mounted heads as a set.

I also made some light green Cthulhu's as well. Check 'em out!

I've been doing a lot of stuff for Alexz as well. I stated in my last blog about my Sack Boy that I was making it so that I could practice for a custom one. Well, my custom one is complete and currently en route to it's new home. It's an Ezio Sack Boy from Assassin's Creed. The details really killed me, but I was so glad with how it came out in the end. I literally worked on this thing for about 3 days straight.

I also recently made a Meat Loaf ami, but I will be posting pictures of those later, because it's going to be a bit of a surprise until it reaches Alexz.
I'm also working on some brown Jackalopes, and I made a Link from Zelda, but I need to put some finishing touches on him and then take pictures. :)

I Heart Nerds.

As some of you may know, I'm a bit of a geek. My husband and I enjoy staying at home and playing video games, or watching bad horror movies as I crochet. We're pretty much the epitome of nerds. There's nothing I love more than to see nerds come together to create even nerdier things.

One of the most popular ones, is Little Big Planet. I've never played the game, however, from the moment I saw the poster of the knitted Sack Boy, I was in love. He's quite possibly the cutest thing ever, and it's combining 2 uber nerdy things, like video games and knitting. There have been quite a few Sack Boy patterns floating around online, and after a request for one, I was so excited to get started. The request is for a custom one, so I had to make the original for myself. :)

That's the original sack boy if any of you have been living under a nerdy rock, and haven't seen him before. :)
And, here's mine! Sorry about the poor lighting, I took the pictures directly in the sunlight. I'm so glad I get to keep him too!

I used 2 different patterns for him. I made the arms from a separate pattern.
Also, for all of you other nerds out there, you should check out this game! I'm thinking about getting a Wii just for this game! lol. It's called Kirby's Epic Yarn!

Kirby's Epic Yarn Video Game, E3 2010: Debut Trailer | Game Trailers & Videos | GameTrailers.com

And this morning, I made this! I used this pattern and he was SUPER easy to make, and he's so cute!!

So, I hope you all do at least 1 nerdy thing today! I plan on crocheting. :)

Rasta Man!

This was done by request, as usual, from Alexz. lol. This is in exchange for some awesome things she's making me. One I will actually be saving as a Christmas gift. How great to have someone to swap with for Christmas gifts! lol.

She requested him for her fiance, for his birthday. He used to live in Jamaica.
His hair took me the longest! I used the amazing Embellish Knit and was able to make them all individually in a fraction of the time. There's about 100 dreads total! Oh, and his hat is removable, too. :)

Also, I finished my Kirk head the other day. He, of course, matches Spock. I'm already in the process of making them, so they will be in the store! And Spock also sold, but you can definitely count on those being back soon too. I think I will also do a deal for a pair of them. :)

I'm still working on quite a few projects for my swap. I will continue working on those for a while, and I'll be so excited when I can post them on here!
