Harry Potter and some destashing

I know that I've mentioned it before, but I'm going to mention it again. I've been busy lately. Today, especially, I've been stressed. I've been running around the apartment just cleaning and rearranging things. I'm trying to keep my mind off of things, which doesn't work, because the more I clean and rearrange, the more I think about things.

Here's my newest really big project that I've been working on. I got an email a couple weeks ago from a very wonderful friend of mine. She just started reading the Harry Potter books, and as everyone else has, got hooked. So, she thought she would just love a Harry Potter to sit at her desk. So, I went away to making a Harry Potter.

In the process of making him, I ran into a lot of issues. My main one was that I couldn't find glasses for him. I finally found some that were the PERFECT size and shape, but they were brown. So, some acrylic paint, and that problem was fixed.

I also wasn't sure what to do about the scar. After trying a lot of yarns, I thought that just using a very thin, pink yarn would work best. It's had to see in the pictures, but I like that it's not really noticeable.

As usual, his pants, cloak and scarf are all removable. I hope his new home will love him! But I have a feeling that they will.

And now, onto some destashing!!!!
I'm planning on taking a day this week to go through my craft closet and just getting rid of things that I don't need. In the meantime, I acquired these and have no need for them. I was going to post them on my Etsy, but thought I would give my followers the opportunity first! And for CHEAP!!! Basically, I need money. haha.

The first up is a huge set of embroidery floss. There's multiple colors, and a hoop as well. If you want anymore details on this, feel free to leave a comment here (I check them constantly, so I'll be able to answer questions) or you can email me at amyldice@yahoo.com. Just put something clever in the subject line so I know that it's not spam. I can also get better pictures if anyone is interested.

This will be a total of $7.95 and that includes shipping.

Next is a pillowcase set for embroidery. I am willing to sell these together for cheaper if you want both.

Total of $7.95 for pillowcase set and shipping included.

And now, I'm off to work some more on cleaning and rearranging, as well as starting on some more personal orders. PLEASE feel free to email me with any custom item you would like! And again, please do...I'm getting strapped for cash these days. lol.

Also, is there any supplies that anyone is looking for?? I have a whole bunch of all kinds of stuff, so leave a comment for what you're looking for, and I'll see what I can do for you. :)

Gosh, I keep coming back to add more stuff to this blog that I'm finding! haha. I made this a while ago. he was one of my first sewing projects, and has since been stuck in the closet. He's about 18 inches tall and would be great for a throw pillow on a couch! I don't want to put him on Etsy because he was my first sewing project, and so he's not the best.
However, I'm selling him for $20 and that includes shipping.

Ok. Done now. If anything changes, I will be posting another blog some other time. :)

Awww, the Harry is so cute! O.O
And the owl definetly is an adorable item. I'm strapped for cash at the moment as well, but I'll see if I can come up with anything.
